TGIF
Today was a truly exciting and happy day. Every Friday night I come home only to feel that time has slipped by too quickly and that the gift of another amazing Friday has been entirely unwrapped and savoured by yours truly. Of course, Fridays are only TGIFs because I have a fantastic boyfriend who pumps in effort and time to make everything work. And even if I find myself potentially upset due to time-of-the-month pms-y mood swings, he'll always do something; anything, to replenish the smile on my face that might have slyly sneaked away. And two weeks ago my legs felt like they were on the verge of crashing and burning {serves me right for walking for 5 hours on heeled boots} and he piggy-backed me across the overhead bridge c: What to do, magic simply comes alive when he's around.
Okay so today started with us making our final payment for the Redang Island trip at Beach Rd, before we made our way to cityhall to shop, eat, arcade, walk around and talk crap. C: AND YES I WON HIM AT DAYTONA FOR ONCE IN MY LIFE. You should have seen the smirk on my face when I came in 1st; like finally? It's pretty unfortunate that I've never won him before today and I guess that's because I'm very much still a amateur beginner operating on auto mode while he is a manual-mode expert who seems to have played full-time since secondary school. YESS ALL MY TRAINING PAID OFF :D I actually feel thoroughly ashamed having to admit that I actually TRAINED in my spare time either alone or with my brothers in hope of beating him one day but now that I've done it once I WILL MAKE SURE I DO IT AGAIN :D Omg cheap thrill here I come.
I'll never ever win him at pool/billiards though; not even going to try. It's just too horrendously difficult. Not worth slogging my guts out learning the basics from scratch and never making it eventually still. I think my boyfriend was secretly born and brought up in the arcade. :P Anyway, had Sakae & Starbucks today, yumyum! Haven't had sushi in awhile already. I'm not an avid fan of Japanese food but once in awhile these small delights do tempt me. I hate sashimi though. Can never learn how to appreciate it the right way. Not my cup of tea, sadly.
Am now in the comfort of my cosy pink room at home furiously tapping away on my pink laptop and occasionally replying messages on my pink-cased iphone (: PINK ISHHHH MAIII LIFE WORSZXSX :D Gotta hull myself under the covers soon, though. An 11am-1pm tuition assignment awaits me tomorrow. This tuition centre job has definitely got to be the best job I've secured so far! Few hours, flexible time-table, yet a really solid payslip. Plus, I'm doing something that I like very much and something that will be useful to my career a few years from now. What's not to love?
