~Anaïs Nin
I think that pretty much sums up why I've decided to start posting regularly again. I used to write a lot in my formative teenage years, and to date, this blog spans over the last 4 years of my life. I was just cruising through my archives (like how I've been doing sporadically, randomly) and repeatedly I am more than amazed (simultaneously relieved, of course) at how my thought processes, outlook on life and personal convictions have incalculably evolved over time. From idealism to practicality; from a deplorable wayward youth to somebody more sensible albeit much room for maturity still surfacing; from being a devout happily-ever-after fairytale believer to a more level-headed, realistic individual.
Ultimately though, I've still been kinda big on the notion of never growing up - a concept from Peter Pan; /omgz plz don't ostracize me just 'cause I'm an inherent sucker for fairytales - but with the opening of my undergraduate life I am quite ready to start shedding the old adolescent skin in preparation for a sleek new coat of adulthood.
Two days ago, I attended the MOE Taching Scholarship Presentation which presented to me yet another significant milestone in life.
I can't believe the bestie and I have come so far together, from all the talk-crap-seemingly-childish recesses in Primary 6 (year 2003) to receiving our scholarship and award respectively in 2010. I hope we'll continue to stick to each other after she flies over to UK. &I hope she returns in no time. C:
