Start of Something New
my pinboard is extremely empty now but I'll be bringing more photos and cards over to decorate it soon c:
I can't believe I have lived in my hostel for 5 good days. I'm getting used to the life and culture here; suppers and drinking sessions which end late and all, chilling out at odd hours in the common lounge, orientation games etc but actually all I want now is for my term to start proper because I really want to hit the textbooks already. I know how incredibly ridiculous this sounds especially since I'm having a major headache as to which modules to bid for and having a tough time trying to break multiple dilemmas but YES I AM STILL EXCITED TO START LECTURES & TUTORIALS FOR REAL despite being a perpetual academia protestor all my life.
So, I moved in on Monday with my one thousand kazillion hand carriers and bags and my dad was so embarrased about being seen with me and my toys that he forbade me to bring my duck altogether ): Anyway, I was really thankful to be greeted with a relatively clean&tidy room which presented to me merely half an hour's worth of cleaning, following which I could unpack in peace :} IKR; I love my room, its clean state and its convenient location. (very near to toilet, first room away from the block lounge and lift, good view with no sun coming in at all times of the day, no lizards, AND CAN SPY ON OTHER PPL'S ROOMS YAAAA OMG I AM SUCH A FREAK)
Additionally, my boyfriend doesn't have to take such a long time to send me back anymore although it's still a long journey he has to take.

Albeit the convenience and freedom to plan my own weekly schedule and time now, I miss home very much. )':
