Tonight
This week, I started on my job as an external invigilator @ MJC. It's a 2-week stint that pays $7.50/hr which is like 1.5 times my Emicakes salary and my job's pretty simple so I'm happy with my lot. After standing long retail hours, running batches of 2-hour invigilations with 1/2 hour breaks in a friendly environment seems rather effortless. Why am I still tired though!
Yesterday, my duty ended at 10am after the JC1 Math paper and I was supposed to go home to bathe before coming out again to meet my precious boy. Mom actually gave me very precise and explicit instructions on how to make my way to Pasir Ris interchange.
Mom: When you're done with your work, you can leave the school using the sidegate, then cross the overhead bridge and take any bus from the busstop opposite the school to pasir ris interchange. If you're unsure just follow the majority of the MJ students. Shouldn't take long. You'll reach Pasir Ris interchange within like, 5-10 minutes. But remember to exit the school from the sidegate!
Me: Okay!!! Should be quite easy I guess.Easier said than done. After my duty I was so happy I just walked out of the compounds through the friggin main gate, crossed the road (wtf I didn't even realise that there wasn't an overhead bridge like Mom said there'd be) and waited for any bus that came along. Bus 3 came, and I observed that everyone in the busstop boarded it so I followed blindly and freaking landed up in Punggol 3 stops later. Ya, it kinda hit me that I'd screwed my journey up when the bus hit the expressway and I became damn irritated and annoyed with myself. Plus I was so hungry I could eat a bus.
So a very irritated and moody me called the boyfriend and he told me to take 83 from Punggol to Sengkang interchange, and that he'd rush down from Yishun to look for me. Saviour to my rescue again ._. I felt quite bad because he was still sleeping then and my call woke him up but he was very patient and calm as usual so yay for that! I am becoming useless~ Luckily TWW has a solid sense of direction (like most dogs do hehe ooops) unlike me who really still thinks that Yishun Punggol Sengkang Ang Mo Kio Chua Chu Kang Yio Chu Kang and Telok Kurau are secretly all the same place.
Anyway, we had fried chicken for lunch and kboxed after that. I wish your holidays would last longer uncle. I had loads of fun last Tue, Thur and yesterday.
To my baobao: I'm quite afraid that we may have less time for each other when I enter university and that we'd drift apart but your constant reassurance is helping me keep the faith. Thanks for always being here. I know that I am not the best girlfriend in the world because I promised you countless times that I would stop using swear words and pointing middle finger but have still yet to kick the habit, and I have hurt you a couple of times with my insensitivity but you always put on a strong front although you're hurting like hell inside. ): We STILL have yet to quarrel cause you always give in to me and pamper me and treat me like a queen. I will keep working and put in more effort into this relationship ok!!! c:
