So this is it
So I guess this is it, Pang Yi Xian is going to be a teacher, for real, upon graduation. But why did my face fall when I opened up the offer package and saw this? I know I did vow that I'd be more than satisfied if they even offered me the award but maybe deep down I still harboured some hope of getting the more prestigious scholarship. Mom said it's okay because since I'm pursuing a local education, it doesn't make much difference whether I get the award or scholarship. Bestie said it's okay too because anyway it's not like I want to be posted to the MOE headquarters after 2 years of teaching to do admin work and policy planning since that's what they assign to the teaching scholarship holders. &of course the boyfriend also encouraged me a lot saying that it's very good already and that he's damn happy for me. Thanks :DFeeling a little bit of stress now because I read through the package and there are terms such as bond-fulfilling and annual academic targets (yearly GPA blahblah) that have been set for me, which I have to meet by hook or by crook or they may withdraw the award from me anytime and I'll have to pay liquidated damages. But on a happier note, bestie and I are both attending the SAME teaching scholarship presentation ceremony on the 12th August so thumbs up to that! Also, the value of the award excites me because my school fees and visits to the clinic in NUS will be completed sponsored in the next 4 years and there'll be subsidies for my CCA activities and overseas exchange programmes, topped with an annual allowance. So my parents may not have to give me pocket money anymore if I actually live within my means. Let's take a look at a nicer photo now :D (thanks charlene for this)
